Hello Parents -
We are continuing to update and improve our PAC communications for you as part of our goal to reach all parents and help connect and build our school community!
One change this week is the first Weekly Update being delivered directly to your inboxes! Each year, to comply with our North Vancouver PAC guidelines and privacy maintenances, we must start fresh by asking for your emails at the beginning of each year. This year, we spent some time reworking the forms, and carefully considering how we can respect parents' privacy while encouraging the connections that help build our school community and concluded that we will approach these goals via our Classroom Representatives.
As we continue to consider how we communicate, we would love to see many, many parents attending our PAC meetings, as it is one of the best and most social ways for us to communicate! At the next morning meeting on Thursday, November 17th, 8:50am-10:15am we will be presenting ideas for a brand new website - which is the same meeting you can attend to hear Mr. Cunliffe present the "Maker Space" innovation project (which kids seem to be buzzing about!).
We will also continue to communicate with you via the following 'channels':
- PAC board inside the school, just around the corner of the main office
- Our newly established 2016-2017 parent email list for direct communication from the PAC Chair, Kathryn Orde and Vice-Chair, Ryan Graham-Cutts
- The blog
- Paper news or flyers via students at school from PAC Chair, Vice-Chair, and other Executive Committee Coordinators
- From time to time, our school Principal will send messages on behalf of the PAC as well - which we always appreciate!
PAC contact information can always be found in the Contact Page at the side of the blog- we're always happy to hear from you!
