Welcome to the online source for Canyon Heights Elementary Parent Advisory Council (PAC). All parents at our school are a part of our PAC. We hope for and welcome your input and participation throughout the school year! The PAC plans and supports additional activities for our school community all year long. Handsworth has a record number of boys playing football this season! 

Many of these young men are from Canyon Heights. These boys are currently on a mission to raise enough money to get themselves new helmets (ranked #1 by the NFL for safety) and compression uniforms. This equipment stays in the program, so your son may benefit in the future, from these boys efforts! 

The Royals Football Club is running 2 fundraising programs to meet a June 15 order date!

April 6, 2016 - Parenting Teens (Free via Hollyburn Family Services)

Parenting a Teen or Pre-teen?

4 session seminar series to understand:


·      How to influence your youth’s behaviour effectively

·      What role environment plays in affecting youth’s behaviour

·      How developmental stages affect behaviour

·      How to engage teens and pre-teens

·      How consequences affect teenage decisions

·      Strategies to deal with issues that face teens and pre-teens



This program encourages parents of youth aged 12-18 to understand their role in shaping and influencing their children/youth’s behaviour.  Strategies are offered to assist parents to set clear effect limits, avoid power struggles, and avoid resorting to ‘taking things away’ or ‘grounding’.

When: Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:30pm on April 26th & May 3rd, 10th & 17th, 2016Where: Hollyburn Head Office #104-267 West Esplanade, North Vancouver

Notes: A light snack will be provided, child-minding is not available
