About Canyon Heights PAC

Welcome to the online source for Canyon Heights Elementary Parent Advisory Council (PAC). All parents at our school are a part of our PAC. We hope for and welcome your input and participation throughout the school year! The PAC plans and supports additional activities for our school community all year long. Fun, fundraising, socializing, and helping connect all members of school community is what we do--believing that a strong and connected community benefits our children most of all!

Weekly Update October 3-7, 2016

Hello Parents!
Please see the school website
Hello Parents!
Please see the school website for school and district updates as well https://www.sd44.ca/school/canyonheights/Pages/default.aspx ...

Thanks to all the teachers, administrators and staff who made Meet the Teachers Night happen on last Thursday, because it's always great to see the classrooms and meet the people who spend the days with our children!

Weekly Update
Monday- Friday, October 3-7 is International Walk to School Week, to kick off the month. Please see the Safety Committee's informational flyers below for tips to walk and roll safely...and sometimes... a bus ride can help make walking more practical too.  Students can ride free this week thanks to Translink so it's a great week to try out walking and bus route combinations.  Consider purchasing a "Compass Card" so your kids can ride the bus anytime, all year long; they're available in many groceries, pharmacies, and convenience stores.

Wednesday, October 5, 2016 is World Teacher's Day! Want to know more? It's a day set by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to recognize the contributions teachers around the world make in every society. Click to jump to the UNESCO site to learn more about the day's origins...
